The Radioddity HF-008 is a compact, adjustable multi-band antenna designed for operators who want an easy-to-transport HF antenna for POTA, camping, field operations, emergency communications, and portable stations.

Band selection is accomplished by changing the supplied jumper connection and adjusting the telescopic element to the appropriate length.
Fine adjustment of the whip allows the antenna to be tuned for your desired operating frequency.
When properly configured and installed, the HF-008 is designed to achieve approximately 1.0–1.5 SWR across its supported operating configurations.
For best results, adjust the antenna for the actual frequency you intend to use and verify SWR before transmitting.
A NanoVNA or antenna analyzer makes initial setup particularly easy. Once you determine the correct element lengths for your favorite frequencies, record those measurements for faster setups in the field.
The HF-008 makes an excellent portable antenna companion for the Xiegu G90 and the QMX+ Transceiver.
The G90's built-in SWR scanner and wide-range automatic antenna tuner complement the adjustable HF-008 and make it possible to assemble a capable portable HF station without carrying a large amount of equipment.
With the HF-008 rated for considerably more power than the G90 produces, operators also have room to use the antenna with higher-power HF equipment.

The HF-008 requires a suitable counterpoise or ground plane for proper operation.
The manufacturer recommends using the antenna with a suitable magnetic mount installed on a vehicle or another structure capable of providing an adequate counterpoise. It is not designed to simply screw directly onto the antenna connector of an HF transceiver.
For portable operation, always verify antenna SWR before transmitting and make final element-length adjustments for your installation and operating frequency.
The HF-008 is intended primarily as a stationary portable antenna. It should not be used on a vehicle while the vehicle is moving.
Avoid operating or storing the antenna in wet environments to help prevent corrosion.
