COMING SOON! Radioddity HF-009 Portable HF Vertical Antenna
60–6 Meters • Quick-Tuning • Complete Portable Antenna System
The Radioddity HF-009 is a complete portable HF vertical antenna system designed for operators who want to get on the air quickly without carrying a mast, magnetic mount, or complicated antenna system into the field.
Covering 5–50 MHz (60 through 6 meters), the HF-009 combines a telescopic whip, internally housed adjustable loading coil, extension sections, ground spike, three radial wires, coax cable, and carrying bag into one portable package.
Simply assemble the antenna, push the integrated ground spike into the soil, deploy the radials, adjust the loading coil and whip, and connect your radio.
It's an excellent antenna for POTA, SOTA, Field Day, camping, emergency communications, portable HF operation, and temporary field stations.
Key Features
5–50 MHz frequency coverage
Covers amateur bands from 60 meters through 6 meters
Up to 150W PEP SSB
Up to 100W CW
50Ω impedance
Typical properly adjusted SWR of approximately 1.0–1.5
Slide-and-lock manual tuning system
Tool-free frequency adjustments
Internally housed loading coil
Telescopic upper whip
Two-piece extension mast
Integrated stainless-steel ground spike
Three 16.4 ft. / 5m ground radials
16.4 ft. / 5m coax cable included
BNC-M to SO-239 adapter included
Aluminum alloy and stainless-steel construction
Anti-corrosion finish for outdoor operation
Collapsible design for easy transportation
Padded carrying bag with handle and shoulder strap included
Built for POTA & Field Operation
The HF-009 was designed with portable operation in mind.
Unlike mobile-style HF antennas that require a magnetic mount or vehicle body to provide a ground plane, the HF-009 includes its own ground spike and three radial wires.
That means you can establish a complete vertical antenna system directly on the ground at a park, campsite, field location, or emergency operating site.
Drive the spike into suitable soil, connect and spread the three radials around the antenna base, assemble the vertical sections, and you're ready to begin tuning.
Quick Slide-and-Lock Tuning
Changing bands doesn't require swapping coils or disassembling the antenna.
The HF-009 uses a slide-and-lock manual tuning system that allows you to adjust the loading coil for the desired operating frequency. Fine tuning can then be performed using the telescopic whip.
Once you've recorded the settings for your favorite frequencies, repeat setups in the field can be completed much faster.
For the best results, we recommend using your radio's SWR meter, built-in SWR scanner, or a NanoVNA / antenna analyzer when initially establishing your preferred tuning positions.
Up to 12.1 Feet Tall
When fully deployed, the HF-009 can reach approximately 12.1 feet / 3.7 meters in height.
The combination of the extension sections, adjustable loading coil, telescopic whip, and radial system provides a capable portable vertical while still breaking down into components small enough to transport in the included carrying bag.
Rugged Outdoor Construction
The HF-009 uses high-grade aluminum alloy and stainless-steel components with an anti-corrosion coating for field use.
The adjustable loading coil is housed inside the antenna assembly rather than being left exposed. This helps protect the coil and adjustment mechanism during transportation and outdoor operation.
The result is a portable antenna designed to handle the repeated setup, teardown, transportation, and outdoor conditions that come with regular field operation.
Excellent Match for the Xiegu G90 and the QMX+
The HF-009 makes an excellent antenna companion for the Xiegu G90 20W HF SDR Transceiver.
The G90's built-in SWR scanner and automatic antenna tuner make it particularly convenient for use with an adjustable portable antenna like the HF-009.
Mechanically adjust the HF-009 as close to resonance as practical, verify the SWR, and then allow the G90's internal ATU to handle the final match when necessary.
The combination creates a compact portable HF station with:
Up to 20 watts RF output
Built-in antenna tuner
Built-in SWR scanner
Multi-band HF capability
Self-supporting portable vertical antenna
Ground radial system
Coax included
Add a suitable battery and you're ready to build a highly capable POTA or field HF station.
